Akeredolu To Construct Ore Flyover

The long suffering of pedestrians and incessant accident caused by lack of a flyover bridge to carry traffic across the Lagos /Benin Express at the flash point  of Ore T-junction may soon be over.




This was revealed today by Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN while presenting  2018 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly on Friday 22nd December, 2017, at the Assembly Complex, Igbatoro Road, Akure.

Governor Akeredolu highlighted among other roads to be constructed the fly-over  (Interchange Bridge) at Ore Junction in his budget speech.

Worried by the incessant accidents on the Benin-Lagos road, the House of Representatives, in March 2013, urged the Federal Ministry of Works to construct flyover and pedestrian bridges across the road, especially the flashpoint at Ore junction in Ondo State.

However, the road has remained unattended to, leaving the people to lose many man hour cause by delay in vehicular movement. The road is always busy and notorious for fatal accidents.

The decision of Governor Akeredolu to include the road in the State's budget is as a result  of his unbridled  determination to transform the economy of the State from civil servants driven to industrialized economy.

Dual carriageway  of Ikare Township Roads;

Completion of the Dual carriageway of Owo Township Roads;

Rehabilitation of Igbe Road;

Rehabilitation of Selected Roads in Ose Local Government;

Rehabilitation of Ipele Township Road;

Dual carriageway of ‘A’ Division-Hospital Road-Olukayode Roundabout-Oke-Obere, Ijoka Road;

Construction of Oke-Obere, Ijoka in Akure to Idanre;

Construction of Gaga Community Road, Akure;

Construction of Oke- Ogba Community, Road, Akure;

Construction of Court of Appeal Road, Akure;

Rehabilitation of Selected Roads in Bolorunduro;

Rehabilitation of Igbara-Oke-Ibuji to Ondo/Ekiti State

Boundary;

Rehabilitation of Roads in Isarun in Ifedore Local Government;

Dual carriageway of Akure – Iju-Ita-Ogbolu to Ondo/Ekiti State Boundary;

Rehabilitation of Selected Roads in Ile-Oluji;

Construction of a fly-over (interchange bridge) at Ore Junction;

Mother Fakes Son’s Kidnap To Extort N5m From Husband

A mother of two has been arrested by the Department of State Security Service for allegedly kidnapping her own son and demanding a ransom of N5 million from her husband. Security and family sources confirmed that the woman identified as Baraka, connived with one Rukayya and another accomplice who called the husband, pretending to be the kidnapper, and demanded the N5 million ransom. Police Public Relations Officer, Asp Bitrus Noam, confirmed the incident, saying the case was with the Department of State Security Service.
